About Shawn

Shawn grew up in a small rural community outside of Danville, Virginia but also spent much of his time on Buggs Island Lake. Which is why he is so happy to be living 25 minutes from it now with his wife Crystal and their 5 children. 

Shawn lives and breathes the outdoor lifestyle.  His passion for land management and hunting began at a young age, learning what it takes to harvest deer and how to preserve the land they live on. Shawn started Dixie Outdoors Archery in 2009 which linked him to hundreds of hunters and landowners with the same passion. 

Shawn has not only had the privilege of hunting on some of the top farms in southside Virginia, but has also been involved in scoping out and finding others prime hunting leases. Shawn has the knowledge to see the potential in a property and the skills to bring that vision to life. He definitely enjoys the land management aspect as much as he enjoys hunting.
